“Congratulations to both Wayne Buckley and Gareth Harper, who both passed their J1 Official assessments at our County Qualifier gala over the weekend of 17-18 November.
It is essential that our club has plenty of qualified officials to support our own galas, other clubs’ galas where our swimmers compete and also team galas such as Peanuts, Herts Majors and National Arena. If you are interested in training to become an official, please do contact Emma Turner via ”
Firstly a massive thank you to ALL the officials who turned up to these events, some without swimmers competing, who made them run so smoothly. We can not reiterate enough the importance of volunteers who enable us to keep events like this going throughout the year. We are continually looking for fresh faces to get involved in all aspects of running a sucessful Swim Club like Watford. SO... If you would like to volunteer your services or show interest in becoming a time keeper / Official / Gala helper please make yourself known to us. As swimmers move on, leave for university etc we loose helpers so we need to keep a steady supply of volunteers coming through. THANK YOU in Advance.

He swam the mile long course in 21 minutes and 37 seconds and was a full 3 1/2 minutes ahead of second place.
This years swim was a tad more interesting for the swimmers as they were directed around the stunning Mastaba Sculpture, designed by the artist Christo, that sits in the middle of the lake
