Watford SC are excited to announce we have signed a nutrition partnership with Youth Sport Nutrition.

As the nutrition partner of choice, YSN have offered the following benefits to our swimmers:

1. Youth Sport Nutrition will be delivering a couple of nutrition workshops covering the foundations of nutrition within elite youth swimming. They have provided two documents attached, as a brief introduction to the very basics of nutrition called "YSN the basics". This explains what a managed approach nutrition contains, and why nutrition is extremely important for youth swimmers. Please see the document "YSN nutrition guide", which contains a little more information about each component of nutrition, to get everyone up to speed before the workshops. We will be in contact when we have arranged the workshop dates.

2. Watford SC members have been given 20% off PRO-TEEN® for the duration of the partnership. The product is the first to market globally, and crucially batch tested by Informed Sport® to ensure it does not contain any prohibited substances. Please see the attachment titled "Product Information" and the attachment titled "Frequently Asked Questions". These flyers will answer the majority of your questions, but feel free to email their team at with any additional questions.

3. Free access to the YSN Kitchen App. The app will contain recipes for youth athletes, meal plans and more. All the meals can be made for under £5 and prepared in less than 5 minutes. You will have access to the entire app for free, when the app launches. We will send you the App link, when we receive it.

If you need some more information on youth sport nutrition check out their free educational forum. You can message YSN directly via their Facebook page if you have any product related questions (they have an online support team). I would also advise you to follow them on your social media profiles (@TeamYSN_ : Twitter and Instagram) to keep up to date with all partnership news and new nutrition articles.

Best wishes, Adam

Congratulations to both Wayne Buckley and Gareth Harper, who both passed their J1 Official assessments at our County Qualifier gala over the weekend of 17-18 November.

It is essential that our club has plenty of qualified officials to support our own galas, other clubs’ galas where our swimmers compete and also team galas such as Peanuts, Herts Majors and National Arena. If you are interested in training to become an official, please do contact Emma Turner via

Watford County Qualifier 2018
Thank you to all the Clubs that attended our County Qualifier , we appreciate your support . There was lots of great swimming..
A massive thank you to the officials who gave up their weekend and the army of volunteers without which this meet could not of run.
We hope to see you all at our next open meet on March the 16 and 17 2019 . The meet entry pack will be available shortly.
Firstly a massive thank you to ALL the officials who turned up to these events, some without swimmers competing, who made them run so smoothly. We can not reiterate enough the importance of volunteers who enable us to keep events like this going throughout the year. We are continually looking for fresh faces to get involved in all aspects of running a sucessful Swim Club like Watford. SO... If you would like to volunteer your services or show interest in becoming a time keeper / Official / Gala helper please make yourself known to us. As swimmers move on, leave for university etc we loose helpers so we need to keep a steady supply of volunteers coming through.  THANK YOU in Advance.

He swam the mile long course in 21 minutes and 37 seconds and was a full 3 1/2 minutes ahead of second place.
This years swim was a tad more interesting for the swimmers as they were directed around the stunning Mastaba Sculpture, designed by the artist Christo, that sits in the middle of the lake

Congratulation Louis..  Great Swim!!!
